The Greatest Beans Recipe in The World

First thing I want to mention is I realize this website seems like an odd place to post the greatest beans recipe in the world. My name is Gerry Barja, I happen to be a computer geek and manage a vast number of websites. I do not operate any recipe websites so I randomly chose this website to post. Ok, now I have explained myself lets get on with this kickass recipe. I am confident that if you try this recipe it will blow your socks off. It took me approx 5x to cook and perfect. This recipe and this post is a diary of it so I myself can bookmark it online.

Background

I am a foodie. I love all kinds of food from all nations. I at times try to cook dishes that are yummy and delicious, most importantly easy and quick to make. This dish which I believe I perfected is perfectly served with any flatbread, sour cream, plain Greek-style yogurt, i prefer a Bulgarian Astro, Indian raita (yogurt with cucumber is best), any plain rice or by itself eaten like a bowl of chili or stew and don’t forget your favourite beer or red wine. You will require at least 1 beer of your choice for the recipe. You’ll need 1/4 cup of beer for the recipe and you may want to consume the remainder with the beans afterward when it’s cooked.

These beans are best classified as a comfort food. Food that you can kick back and relax and enjoy as it has a very complex and deep flavor of smokiness, full-bodied yummy taste that fills your pallet similar to a how only a best-described chili or stew can yet it is neither, its beans and amazingly delicious. The ingredients are simple and easy to obtain and prepare. The recipe is cheap and simple to make. With all that said let’s go…

Ingredients

1 can of chickpea-flava beans mix
1/2 medium onion chopped
3 cloves garlic chopped
1/2 cup beer
1/4 teaspoon anchovy paste or 1 anchovy
1 strip of bacon chopped
5 tablespoons olive oil
1 heaping tablespoon tomato paste
chopped fresh parsley

Mixed spices in a bowl

1 1/2 teaspoons Hungarian paprika
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1/8 – 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cumin

Preparation

In a saucepan, medium-low heat add chopped bacon and cook until all fat is melted. Add olive oil until hot then add chopped onion and garlic. As onions cook add a pinch of salt to help sweat onions. Cook until onions are slightly soft.

Add spices and tomato paste and stir. Add can of beans (not strained) and 1/4 cup of beer. Add anchovy paste or whole anchovy. Simmer for 15 minutes while stirring occasionally.

Add chopped fresh parsley after simmered and turn off heat. Mix and serve.

You should end up with a stewy mixture of beans with a wonderful woody and smoked aroma. I prefer to eat these beans with a flatbread and plain yogurt. The yogurt balances the dish perfectly IMO. You may want to try sour cream, equally amazing!

If you do manage to make this dish please leave me a comment. I am so curious to read your comments. Thank you for reading and have a great day:)
